What is the blue and yellow “Pay for Post” Button?
Located on the right hand column of our blog is a Pay for Post Button, which is one of the leading providers of blog marketing services. You can click the blue and yellow logo in order to request we discuss the topic of your choise. It can be a request for our opinion on a product or service or just ask us to create some buzz for you. We are happy to opine on just about anything though obviously, the topic would need to be relevant or helpful to youth and high school sports or photography in general, including products and services as well as player profiles.
We joined Pay for Post for a number of reasons: 1) To generate income for the upkeep of this blog and keep the Google ads away from our front page–we got the idea from The Coach at Morris County Varsity Sports; 2) to generate “some buzz” about our services; and 3) to create as mechanism to receive requests for topics to discuss.
We created this blog because as freelance photojournalists, we wanted a venue to show case our work and also to supplement your local newspaper publication’s sports coverage. If you have not noticed, the major newspapers seem, in our opinion, to be providing less and less coverage of high school sports. We have heard this complaint not only direct from parents but have noticed similar rants in various sports related forums.
We are still brand new to this service and are still trying to determine whether it’s a worthwhile endeavor or not.
We value everyone’s opinion so let us know what you think. As mentioned, we are happy to just about anything related to or helpful to the young athlete.
