Werst Orange, NJ - Christian Brothers Academy out scored Seton Hall Prep 8-6 in the semifinals of the NJSIAA Non-Public A boys high school lacrosse tournament held at the Kelly Athletic Field in West Orange, NJ.

ongratulations to the ice hockey players that were named to The Star Ledger 2006-07 Winter Sports All-Stars, which were announced in today’s newspaper. We’ve watched these well deserving players on the ice during the regular and post-season matches.In addition to the boys All Stars, the Star Ledger also announced its Girls Ice Hockey 2006 – 2007 Winter Sports All Stars. Unfortunately, we only made it to one of the girl’s ice hockey games this year—Princeton Day School @ Pingry on February 1, 2007. We probably have photos of Pingry’s Liz Moore who is on the second team and PDS’ Bryanna Mayes who is on the third team. We will post their photos as soon as we locate our roster and identify them from our archives. Next season we will try to make a note to attend more of the girls’ games, which certainly deserve more recognition than they currently receive.

Special congratulations to those players that made it to the second and third team as well. They certainly are deserving of these honors and we wish everyone good luck next year whether it be in high school or college sports.

We have photos from the Notre Dame vs Christian Brothers Academy as well as the Bergen Catholic vs St. Peter’s Prep games during the non-public quarterfinal round of the NJSIAA Ice Hockey Tournament held at at William G Mennen arena. CBA and St Peter’s will compete against each other in the semi-finals to be held at Continental Arena on March 16th to determine who will go against the winner of the Delbarton vs St Augustine game that same day.
