Gill St. Bernard’s Basketball Tournament Finals
Gladstone, NJ: The Gill St. Bernard’s Holiday Basketball Tournament Finals for the girls and the boys were held yesterday along with two consolation games. In the girls finals, it was between Roxbury High School and the Lady Knights of Gill St. Bernard’s while the boys game was between Newark Academy’s Minutemen and Gill St. Bernard’s.

NJISSA Relays
April 2, 2008-Lawrenceville, NJ -Lawrenceville School was the site of the spring track seasons first competitive meeting featuring St. Benedicts, Peddie, Blair, Oratory Prep, Kent Place, Stuart Academy, Pennington, Hun, St. Mary’s, Gill St. Bernards, Morristown Beard and the host Lawrenceville. The highlight of the afternoon was provided by the Mt. Saint Mary’s girls 4 x 800 team (Kathleen Kerwin, Patricia Whitehead, Caroline Williams, Liz Campbell) as they set a new track record of 10:25.5




Indoor Track: Prep Finals
Lawrenceville, NJ - The Boys and Girls High School Prep Indoor Track Finals were held February 6, 2008 at Lawrenceville School. In the boys division, St. Benedict’s Prep came out on top with 125 points followed by Seton Hall Prep with 50 and Lawrenceville 49. In the girls division, Peddie came in first place with 83 points, while Lawrenceville and Kent Place came in second and third place with 57 and 42 points, respectively.

Gill St Bernards Defeats Saddle River 77-43 in Basketball
Gladstone, NJ - The Knights of Gill St Bernard’s defeated the Colonial Rebels of Saddle River Day School during a boys varsity basketball game on January 29, 2008 played at Gill St Bernard’s brand new gymnasium. Walt Graber led the way for the Knights with 15 points, including 3 baskets from beyond the 3-point line. In addition, Tom Plate and Louis Valdes struck for 13 and 12, respectively for Gill. For Saddle River, Bernard Richardson scored 13 points, while teammates Mark Devli and Albert Gonzalez had 11 and 9, respectively.

Montgomery @ Gill St. Bernard’s Basketball
Gladstone, NJ - The Lady Knights of Gill St. Bernard’s (4-0) continues its undefeated season by outscoring Montgomery (2-2) 66-50 on December 22, 2007. Sophomore forward #13 Niya Ruth and sophomore guard #23 Daisha Simmons each put 21 popints on the board for the Lady Knights, while senior guard #3 Nicole Rizzo, junior forward #33 Chloe Cotoulas and senior forward #21 Kailey Raymond contributed 11, 10 and 2 points, respectively. For Montgomery, Marcia Voigt was the scoring leader with 17, including 5 from the free throw line followed by Laura Coletti with 13 points.

Pingry @ Gill St Bernard’s Basketball
Gladstone, NJ - The Big Blue of Pingry (4-1) defeated The Gill St. Bernard’s Knights (1-3) 52-40 on December 22, 2007. Jeff Tanenbaum was the scoring leader with 20 points for The Pingry School followed by Tyler Parsels with 16 points as well as Andrew Cala and Jed Constantino with 5 and 6 points, respectively. Will Braundage, Todd Feldman and Greg Guest also contributed to Pingry’s victory. For the Knights of Gill St. Bernard’s, freshman guard #11 John Snow placed 15 points on the board as well as nine each from senior guard #5 Walter Graber and junior forward #10 Guy Perez.
