The Spartans from Holy Spirit and Immaculata faced off against one another on December 1st at Rutgers Stadium. Consistency was the key throughout
the game for Holy Spirit, scoring at least 6 points every quarter to outlast Immaculata’s fourth quarter would be comeback of 13 points.
Coming off a 23-game winning streak, Immaculata was beaten at their own game – a victim of two interceptions and only one penalty negatively affecting their Rival Spartans.
Holy Spirit would rush 239 yards in a 26-13 victory in the NJSIAA/Gatorade Non-Public, Group 3 championship, taking down the defending champions in what many felt was their best overall team effort all season. (more…)

Jillian Prentice a Sophmore from Montgomery High School came out on top in a field of 95 runners competing with a time of 18:42.25 running at an average of 6:01.3 for each mile.

Gill St. Bernard’s Junior Doug Smith not only defeated a field of more than 100 competitors, but also established a new course record of 15:25.48 compared to 15:47 formerly set by another Gill St. Bernard’s Knight Bobby Papazian back in 2004. Doug Smith ran a 4:57.9 average mile.

Immaculata @ Gill St Bernards Soccer
Gladstone, NJ - The Immaculata Spartans defeated the Knights of Gill St. Bernards 1-0 in girls high school varsity soccer. The Lady Knights will next play on October 16th against Wardlaw-Hartridge, which lost to the Knights 2-0 earlier in the season. Immaculata will next play Watchung Hills on the 16th of October.

Immaculata vs Pingry in Group Championship
Bridgewater, NJ - Senior Midfielder Brian Shemesh ##46 had a big day with a game high of five goals to help Immaculata become the NJSIAA Non-Public B Group Champions with a 9-5 victory over Pingry during this game held at Bridgewater-Raritan High School. Teammates Conor Nolan #43 scored a couple of goals for Immaculata, while Keith Hoerburger #12 and Matt Janssen #16 each also scored a point as well. The high scorer for Pingry was Senior Midfielder Kim Kimber, who scored three times for the Big Blue as team mates Brett Hardman #19 and Rob Ventura #13 each also had a goal.
