Jillian Prentice a Sophmore from Montgomery High School came out on top in a field of 95 runners competing with a time of 18:42.25 running at an average of 6:01.3 for each mile.

Gill St. Bernard’s Junior Doug Smith not only defeated a field of more than 100 competitors, but also established a new course record of 15:25.48 compared to 15:47 formerly set by another Gill St. Bernard’s Knight Bobby Papazian back in 2004. Doug Smith ran a 4:57.9 average mile.

Ridge @ Voorhees Field Hockey


Glen Gardner, NJ – The Voorhees Vikings completely shut out the Ridge Red Devils 4-0 in girl’s varsity field hockey. Voorhees’ #13 Lauren Goracy was the first to score with 27:12 remaining in the first period. #5 Tori Symonds with help from #16 Erica Hintz was next to score for the Vikings with 21:49 remaining in the period. Then with 15:30 left in the half, #2 Heidi Friese increased the Vikings’ lead to three with an assist from Lauren Goracy. The half ended with the Vikings with a 3-0 lead over the Red Devils. With about 24 minutes left in the game, #4 Colleen Boyce assisted Tori Symonds with her second goal of the day. Voorhees took 20 shots on goal, while Ridge only was able to take four. Ridge goalkeeper Amanda Bassiacos had sixteen saves, while Voorhees’ Meagan Vakeiner had four.

Ridge @ Delbarton Soccer

Morristown, NJ - The Green Wave of Delbarton defeated the Red Devils of Ridge High School 3-2 in double overtime on a goal by Sophomore forward Matt Kastner #22 during boys high school varsity soccer. Delbarton at the half was down by two after sophomore Kevin O’Connell #17 and junior Ryan Whalen #24 scored for Ridge. In the second half, the Green Wave came back with goals from junior forward Shane Conlin #5 and junior back Jeff McLaughlin #23 to tie up the game in the last few mnutes of play.
