A Baseball Classic: Abott & Costello’s Who’s on First
As in previous years, I have opted to take it easy this summer in order to stay fresh and maintain my perspective for the upcoming 2008 – 2009 high school and college sports season. However, I was recently talking with someone who has never seen one of the true classic baseball skits by Abbott and Costello. We found the clip on YouTube so I have to share it with you. No matter how many times I have seen this skit, it still cracks me up. I hope it does the same for you.

Robinson Cano visits Randolph, NJ
Randolph, NJ – Major League Baseball player Robinson Cano, who is the second baseman for the New York Yankees made an appearance on January 14, 2008 at Center Grove Elementary School to meet with Doug Smith, an eight year old second grader, who won a sweepstakes sponsored by the Cartoon Network and Topps. Doug, along with his classmates, his older brother RJ, parents and grandparents met with Cano during school. Cano spent some time autographing sports memorabilia and answered questions posed by the kids ranging from where he lived to what other sport Cano would play if he were not playing baseball. After some time in the classroom, Cano took Doug and his brother RJ to the gym and offered them some fielding and batting tips in front of the whole school. A great time was had by all.

2007 Spring Sports Start Soon
As much as we enjoy indoor sports, the outdoor season is upon us and we are ready to start enjoying a bit of fresh air and sunshine. If you are interested in photography coverage of your sporting events such as lacrosse or softball in the spring, please contact us and we’ll do our best to get to one of your games this season. We’ve got quite a few commitments already, but there are some slots left especially in the second half of May. Rain or shine, we can still photograph the action while you enjoy the event. Go to Booster Club Services for additional details.
