13 September 2008 Livingston, NJ: Runners from 17 high schools participated in The Annual Newark Academy Cross Country Invitational was held today in Livingston, NJ.

Hill School Relays
April 5, 2008-Pottstown, PA. This years Hill School Relays drew teams from as far afield as New Jersey and Dealware all of whom combined to provide a spirited competition under classic spring weather conditions. The stand out preformance of the day was turned in by the Peddie School Distance Medley team of Melissa Provost ’09, Julia Barlis ’11, Sarah Newbury ’11 and Alex Von Arx ’09 which won the 3,200-meter relay in a meet-record time of 10:22.16 to pace the Falcon girls to a second place tie in the team standings.






NJISSA Relays
April 2, 2008-Lawrenceville, NJ -Lawrenceville School was the site of the spring track seasons first competitive meeting featuring St. Benedicts, Peddie, Blair, Oratory Prep, Kent Place, Stuart Academy, Pennington, Hun, St. Mary’s, Gill St. Bernards, Morristown Beard and the host Lawrenceville. The highlight of the afternoon was provided by the Mt. Saint Mary’s girls 4 x 800 team (Kathleen Kerwin, Patricia Whitehead, Caroline Williams, Liz Campbell) as they set a new track record of 10:25.5




Indoor Track: Prep Finals
Lawrenceville, NJ - The Boys and Girls High School Prep Indoor Track Finals were held February 6, 2008 at Lawrenceville School. In the boys division, St. Benedict’s Prep came out on top with 125 points followed by Seton Hall Prep with 50 and Lawrenceville 49. In the girls division, Peddie came in first place with 83 points, while Lawrenceville and Kent Place came in second and third place with 57 and 42 points, respectively.

MVC Track Championships
Madison, NJ - The Mountain Valley Conference Indoor Track Championships were held today at Drew University. Many schools including Al Johnson, Cranford, Roselle Catholic, New Providence, Oratory Prep, Oak Knoll, Kent Place, Union Catholic and many others were there to participate.

NJISSA Prep Cross Country Championship
October 31, 2007-Blairstown, NJ – Blair Academy was the site of this years NJ State Prep Cross Country Championships. Under beautiful Halloween skies seventeen schools competed on the new flatter Blair course. The favorites from both boys and girls divisions did not disappoint as they placed as expected. The best race of the day was the sprint to the finish for third place in the Division A boys event when Jorge Marques, St. Benedict’s, 17:45.5. just edged Jarrett Kunze, Peddie, 17:45.8 at the line.

Gill St. Bernard’s Junior Doug Smith not only defeated a field of more than 100 competitors, but also established a new course record of 15:25.48 compared to 15:47 formerly set by another Gill St. Bernard’s Knight Bobby Papazian back in 2004. Doug Smith ran a 4:57.9 average mile.

Annual Shore Track Coaches Association Cross Country Meet
Holmdel, NJ - Homdel Park was the place to be Saturday October 6, 2007. It was the site of the Annual Shore Track Coaches Association. There were a total of 24 races, including 12 varsity races, seven junior varsity races, and five frosh races for both boys and girls.
Fall 2007 Sports Season is Upon Us
The fall sports season, including football, soccer, field hockey, volleyball, tennis and cross country is upon us. Scrimmages are already underway, Bloggers such as Coach Vinnie with Morris County High School Sports.Net is showcasing a brand new website, Phil McRimmon at NJHotShots is ready to take care of your videography needs and Steve Tober at Sideline Chatter is already busy writing previews of the upcoming season, while Alex Cena and his team of photographers at NJ Sports Images are eager for the regular season to start so they can start to photograph all the athlete’s in action while the parents enjoy the events.
We’ll be out and about to capture some of the best images for your local newspapers, blogs, schools and booster clubs. If there is a special event or rivalry game at your school where you especially want coverage please contact us early so we can try to include you into our schedule.
