Bernardsville, NJ: Bernards defeated Chatham 2-1 during the quarterfinals of the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 2 field hockey tournament in Bernardsville.

June 15, 2008:The Star-Ledger today announced its 2008 Spring All-Stars: All-State Girls Lacrosse Team, which included Alyssa Dragon (Bridgewater-Raritan), Danielle Van Fossan (Chatham), Kelly Draper (Shore), Ali Cassera (West Essex), Virginia Weber (Moorestown), Kirsten Donahue (Seneca), Alyssa Ogle (Moorestown), Lauren Murray (Chatham), Annie McGinley (Moorestown), Ilyssa McIntyre (Oak Knoll), Kyla Damback (Mendham) and Barb Previ (Shawnee). Also, congratulations to Annie McGinley and Deb Marriott for being named the Player of the Year and Coach of the Year, respectively. We look forward to photographing these athletes in action next year when they play in college. Here are the All-Stars in Action:

Chatham, NJ, USA; Thursday May 22, 2008; The Chatham Cougars defeated the Kent Place Dragons 15-9 during the semi-finals of the North I girls varsity lacrosse sectional tournament, which was played at Haas Field. Lauren Murray (23) found the back of the net four times for Chatham, while her teammates Meg Murray (21) and Danielle van Fossan (4) had three goals each. For Kent Place, Elaine Welch (6) scored four goals, while Carolyn Bradley (29) and Sophia Gouraige (25) had two each. Georgia Bird (33) also scored for Kent Place.
